While I’m no Volkswagen expert, engine expert, or any other kind of expert, that looks like a late model VW with maybe a 122 CI engine, tops. What the hell would anyone hope to gain from putting a blower on top of something so small, other than the ability to get up a hill without having to downshift all the way to first?

I don’t see an intake attached to it. All show.
Some folks just enjoy the challenge of pushing a certain platform to its limits, I guess.
I’d never really looked at it that close, just assumed that was a riser, on closer inspection that just looks like legs. How is that thing even running?
Maybe it’s not a blower, maybe it’s a flux capacitor. That being the case, the question is this: Can it even hit 88 MPH?
If that were the case, it would need a blower and quite possibly nitrous to hit 88 mph. Quite a conundrum.
